A first date should be elegant. In comfortable surroundings. A place with excellent food, where you can talk easily and get to know each other.
So your going on your first date, excited but super nervous. Everyone gets nervous about dating, its normal. Since you agreed to the date you are either physically attracted to the person or love their personality and same goes for your date. They are just as full of anxiety as you are. Here are a few tips on how to calm your nerves and make the most of your date.
- Don’t overthink- You may stumble over your words or find that there is moments of awkward silence. That is fine play it off and be confident in yourself. Confidence will show the person that you are interested in them and will definitely lead to future dates.
- Think of your date as a friend- If you think of your date as a friend it will calm your nervous. Constantly thinking “are they judging me” will not help. Take your mind off the fact that your even on a date and be yourself.
3. Pick a place where you are comfortable- A first date doesn’t necessarily mean dinner. You can have gym or movie date where there is minimal conversation leaving room for your date to be interested in seeing you again.
4. Keep yourself entertained before the date- This goes along with overthinking. Do not spend to much time on your makeup, hair, or outfit causing your date to consume your day. If you act casual about going out it will lead to you being less nervous.
